Shopping in Loudon

Loudon in Tennessee is a growing community that has a rapidly expanding commercial area which includes the historic downtown business sector and a busy shopping mall in the heart of the city center. Historic Loudon is a quaint area along the Tennessee River that is full of charming shops, great food and friendly people who will be more than happy to help you experience their traditional southern hospitality. While the area itself may have been renovated in recent time, this restoration has done nothing to dispel its typical southern charm which can be felt in abundance at every turn whether you are shopping for a special gift or just strolling downtown soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying an ice cream or cold drink along the way. There are many restaurants, boutiques and specialized shops selling all manner of items from antiques to local arts and crafts but it is also the perfect place just to relax while you soak up the deep heritage of the region.

At present, the Loudon Shopping Center is the main hub for grocery retail activity in the area and this is located on Highway 72, (I-75 Exit 72). The Cedar Grove and Center 75 Business Parks also offer a wide range of food courts and other outlets including Weigels, Shell, Wendy’s, 72 Wine & Spirits, McDonald’s, KFC and Taco Bell but Knoxville and Lenoir City nearby also offer an abundance of malls and shopping areas which are popular with both tourists and local residents. The latter is included in what is referred to as Loudon County´s main commercial corridor along US Highway 321 and offers many shopping opportunities for those who want an alternative to what son offer in Loudon.

Popular Shopping Centers in Lenoir City include the Franklin Center (off I75, Exit 81/I40, Exit 364) and this is attached to the Wal-Mart Super Center. In addition there is the Ingles Shopping Centre which is currently under redevelopment, the Twin Lakes Shopping Centre (includes Big Lots and several popular eating establishments as well as other services), Lenoir Mills Retail Outlet which includes All American Mattress, Rick Terry Jewelers, Sprint, Merle Norman and venison. Dining options here include KFC, Snappy Pizza, Ayala Mexican, Wok Star Asian Cuisine and Angelo´s Brick Oven. The downtown area of Lenoir City is also home to a variety of beautiful shops offering a selection of hand crafted goods and antiques however if the latter is of particular interest to you then Antique Alley on Highway 11 is definitely the place for you as you will find an abundance of outlets offering goods of this kind that will keep you interested for hours regardless of whether you are a serious buyer or simply a curious amateur who simply want to browse.
