There are a variety of bars in the city of Loudon Tennessee whether you are looking for a family orientated environment to grab some food and relax or prefer a busy sports bar to catch up on your favorite game. If the former are more to your preference then you may want to check out Taco Loco Bar and Grill on Mulberry Street in the heart of the downtown area or Chili’s Grill & Bar View which is located within easy access of the city itself at the Fort Loudoun Medical Centre Drive in Lenoir City. Despite the latter being slightly further out, it is worth the trip to sample their magnificent hand-shaken margaritas and if cocktails are not your thing then they also have an excellent selection of ice cold beers and wine too from their well stocked bar as well as plenty of soft drinks for minors.
If you are looking for live music to pass an evening away however, there is much more going on in Knoxville which is around twenty miles away. The bustling downtown area here has a multitude of sports bars and live music venues, just a short drive from Loudon and many local residents head here for evening entertainment, especially at the weekends. One of the most popular venues is Rooster’s Bar & Grill, which can be found at Rocky Hill and this is definitely the place to be because there is always something happening in this busy, action packed bar. This establishment has been serving residents in the area for over a decade and has been voted Knoxville’s number one Sports Bar for three years in a row so they are obviously doing something right. There are 61 TV screens around the bar so you can watch your favorite sporting events live while you enjoy a refreshing cold beer – there are 36 different bottles and 18 draft varieties to choose from – while enjoying a tasty snack from their food menu, in a chilled out and friendly environment. The menu offers traditional favorites like wings, pizzas, burgers, fries and salads at very reasonable prices and there is also a Happy Hour from 3-7pm with special offers daily on certain drinks too. Their internet jukebox has a fantastic choice of music covering all genres and a playlist that covers five decades plus there is live music on every Sunday on the patio area from 7-10pm as well as other regular music nights throughout the year. There are also a variety of games and activities to keep you and your family entertained including several professional Billiard and Pool Tables, Tip Dart Boards, Putt Putt and much more.
Other popular Sports Bars in the area include Big Tiny’s Sports Grill on South Calderwood Street, Rookies Sports Bar & Grill and Rick’s Place which can be found on Downtown West Blvd, all of which open around noon until the early hours of the morning. The Irish Times Pub and Restaurant – also in Knoxville – is another favorite and this was the first authentic Irish Bar to open in the Loudon area when it was established in 2006.
